Hastings Streets Closed to Motor Traffic The maia shopping streets in Hastings will be closed to vehicular traffic to-night from 6ix o'clcek until nine o'clock to permit the people to carry out their shopping without .having to concexm themselves with traffic. Tonight is late shopping night. The streets concerned are: — HERETAUNGA STREET: From Hastings Street to Nelson Street. KARAMU ROAD: From Queen Street to back entrance Albert Hotel. RUSSELL STREET: From Eastbourne Street to Queen Street. RAILWAY ROAD : From Eastbourne Street to Heretaunga Street. MARKET STREET: From Eastbourne Street to Queen Street.
