MRS. W. S. PINDAR

The funeral of Mrs W. S. Pindar, of Munroe street, Napier, who died yesterday after a longj and painful illness patiently borne, took place this afternooii at the Park Island Cemetery. Mrs Pindar, better known to Napier people as Madam Lilly, was in business in Napier for many years, coming to New Zealand from London about 30 years ago with her husband, fche late Mr McCarthy. She leaves to mourn her loss a daughter and son, Miss Winifred McCarthy and Mr Jack McCarthy. Mr Pindar pre-deceased his wife some years ago. The service at the graveside was conducted by Dean Brocklehurst, and a large number of close friends attended to pay their last respects.
