Hastings Fixture Concludes To-day The Hastings Croquet Club's annual tournament was eontinued yesterday in beautiful weather The tourney wiU conclude this afternoon Details:-— OPEN SINGLES Mrs Peterson beat Mrs Davles, 26-— 21, 9—26, 26—17. Miss Carrington beat Mrs Esson by default. Semi-Final Miss Carrington beat Mra Bennett 26—20, 26—21. Mrs Sivyer beat Mrs Peterson by default. HANDICAP DOUBLES Final Mesdames Bennett and Duff beat Miss Carrington and Miss Millichamp 26—17. SILVER BUTTONS COMPETITION The draw for the Hawke's Bay Croquet Association 's Silver Buttons competition, to be held to-day week, has been announced as follows: — A GRADE (on United lawn) United v. Hastings; Port v. Napier. B GRADE (on Port lawn) Havelock v. United; Pioneer v. Napier; Kia Toa v. Wairere; Hastings v. Port. C GRADE (on Port lawn) Kia Toa v. Napier; Hastings v. Wairere; Pioneer v. Omarunui; Havelock v. Port. Play starts at 9.30. Lunch and morning and afternoon tea will be provided.
