A North American Newspaper Alliance copyright message says: Ernest Hemingway, war correspondent, describing the line of Italian flight jfrom Brihuega, emphasises that there are signs of precipitate retreat with an estimated loss of 2000 killed and 3000 wounded, thus providing a major victory for the Government after an eight-months' defensive campaign, uniting the loyalists in their fury against foreign invasion. The recruiting for the new army has reached fever pitch and supplies and gifts are pouring in to Madrid from the countryside, greatly raising the morale of the fighting forces. The encirclement of Madrid is impossible unless General Franco obtains huge reinforcements of a hetter class of troops than ihe defeated Italians. The left wing of the loyalists forces on the Guadalajara front is approaching Jadraque and Aknadrones, the points of departure for a rebel off'en-1 sive, ' A Tangier message says that the insurgent authorities have executed the Spanish High Commissioner, Senor Buyllas, who was arrested at the commencement of the campaign.
