9 Wasli and cut fairly small any quantity of apples and put them into e bowl. It is better for the apples to b'e i'airly tart, but any windfalls can be used, and the peelxngs and cores of others. Uover with boiling water and add one cup of sugar to every four cups of boiling water. Let stand in a fairly warm place about three days, when the brew will start to ferment slightly. Then strain and bottie, and add one or two raisins to each bottle. In warm weather it is ready for use in two or three days' time, but in cooler weather it may take six or seven days.
