MORNING TEA PARTY FOR MADAME MAUNDER

A very pleasant little morning tea party was given at the Hastings Women 's Gommunity Club yesterday to welcome Madame Maunder, who is spending a week in Hastings as the the guest of Mrs J. Simson and returns to New Plymouth on Saturday. As Madame Maunder was a member of the club when liviug in Hastings, several of the members arranged this little party in her honour. The guest of honour looked very emart in a tailored ensemble of black wool crepe worn with a white blouse and small black hat. She was presented with two very pretty floral posies from her friends, Mrs E. V, Simpson entertained the guefets with a bright little recitation and later Mrs H. Lovell Smith briefly welcom 9(J Ma lame Maulider to the club and told her how pleased her old friends were to see her again. Madame Munder then thanked every one for the jolly party which she had thoroughly enjoyed. Those present were: — Mrs H. Lovell-Smith, Mrs R. Puflett, Mrs J. Simson, Mrs H. W, C. Baird, Mrs K. Crompton, Mrs W. J. White, Mrs E. V. Simpson, Mrs J. Wright, Mrs T. Waterworth and Mrs D. Hursthouse."
