The Wairarapa Autumn meeting takes place on Easter Saturday and Monday. There is a good increase in the acceptanees that should furnisb close and interesting racing. The following from these parts will participate: — Tupai, Lavina, Blygain, Tigergain, Werohia, Pladie, Master Cyklon, Etzel, Seyfried, Gironde, Sansfoy, Nelumbo, and First Chapter. Racing will commeuce with the MAIDEN PLATE, of £140; '6 furlongs. Races of this deseription in the autumn are generaljy co.ntested by an inf erior lot. Saturday 's field does not appear the exception. A few who have shown a little form . are Galtemore, Good Sun, Tupai, Gay Artist, and Gold Nymph. Liane is not eligible. Probably the best backed will be GOOD SUN (second at Trentham), TUPIA and GAY ARTIST. MOKAI HANDICAP, * of £200; 6 furlongs. Back to her own distance Lavina may do better than at Napier or Pahiatua, when raced over seven furlongs. Deficit, on Waikato running, will appeal. Solaria is well overdue. Flammarton should do better than at Trentham. Lady Ina is in form. Hunting Mars appeals on the handicap. Fulojoy has lost form, but Blygain is a light-weight possibility. The favourites may be FLAMMARION, DEFICIT and LAVINA. EASTER HANDICAP, of £500; 1J mile. .Friesland was beaten'last Saturday at Stratford, and may be feeling the effects of recent racing. Lowenberg is also engaged at Feilding. Big Dook this time last season was f in great nick, but so far of late his form 1 has not been of the same high quality. In this race last season he dead-heated with Pladie after the same pair also dead-heated at Hastings. Tiger Gain is a fit horse, and despite his defeats in the Waikato recently has not lost any friends. Hazoor may be dangerous, but not so Werohia on recent performances. Pukeko won a double last week, but now has 8.7. Pladie met with an accident going to Trentham from Hastings to cause his withdrawal at that meeting, so it is possible he may not be himself on Saturday. Master Cyklon failed at Pahiatua, but that "form may be overlooked. Rona Bay, Geitel, Helen Ford and Bantry are light-weights that must be considered. In this open field the majority of investments may be made on TIGER GAIN, LOWENBERG and MASTER CYKLON. WAIRARAPA NURSERY, of £150; 5 furlongs. There is not much to ckoose from here, as only two have yet shown winning form. The favourites may be SON AND HEIR and GIRL PAT. TUHITARATA HACK, of £175; 6 furlongs Gay Hunter, at 9.9, has his work cut out, but up to a mile is a e'ut above the iaverage hack. Earl Colossus is only fair, and ltevival is no better. Laggard, with. the exception of his Trentham highw6ight win, has little to recommend him.' Captain Tudor was made favourite at Stratford, but i was out of a place. Lord Quick has been disappointing of late. ' Seyfried can be relied upon to run out the mile. Below him on th6 list they are poor. Most monetary support may be forth coming for SEYFRIED, GAY HUN TER and CAPTAIN TUDOR.

NEWMARKET HAOK. Of £150; 6 furlongs. Export races well when fresh. Rotoma is a smart hack, but Master Quex has not come up to earlier form. Impersonatpr has but one race to his credit. Patagona and Gironde are possibilities, but the latter will need to improve on his last two outings. Of the others The Sandwiehman, Alunga. Hinepit and Sunny Blonde may prove the best. What will earry more money than ROTOMA, EXPORT and SUNNY BLONDE? MARTINBOROUGH HANDICAP. Of £200; one mile. Frie&land may be reserved for this mile event instead of contesting the handicap, Master Cyklon is, I think,

starting in the ten-furlong race. Boo* J merang has not raced for soxne timo. J At Pahiatua Pennycomequick did not fare too well the first day, and on the eecond day, when making a run on the rails, was blocked, otherwise she may have won. Darecourt is a possibility ott last week's showing, Lordly Knight, who passed through Hastings yesterday, Jooked very much on the lean side. Sansfoy is one that will attract attention. Bunfight and Free Roee may be the outsiders of • this field. Maybe the favourites will be SANSFOY, PENNYCOMEQUICK aud FRIESLAND. FEERY HACK HANDICAP. Of £150; 5 furlongs. This is CoJliodion's best dustanco. Bustem is but average class. Nelumbo looks like having many friends. Colleen Gain has speed. Liane has form, but not of recent date. Diamond Cutter won on this track last New Year. Eagle's Eye was victori.ous in a minor race last Saturday at Stratford. Recovery may be looked to from NELUMBO, COLLEEN GAIN and COLLODION.
