Fox Admits Guilt

NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The escape of William Joseph Fox from the custody of a warder at Stratford and his recapture two days later at Woodville were described in Court to-day when Fox admitted his guilt and was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence. Fox was recently sentenced to two years' hard labour and two years' detention for aggravated assault on a police officer at Aotuhia. He was boiug taken with another prisoner to the Waikeria prison when at the Stratford railway station ho disappeared while the warder 's attention was distracted i'or a moment.
