Government Subsidy to Help Training COVERS ALL N.Z.

CHRISTOHURCH, Last Night. A subsidy plan intended to encourage i the training of farm labour has been( decided on by the Government and the . employment certifying officers have , already been circularised about the details, Assistance will be made av&iljable to farmers all over the Dominion| 1 to obtain farm labour, a wages subsidy j 'being paid in return for the assistance' and co-operation of farmers in training; unemployed young men in the flrst es-i sentials of farm work. The subsidy will1 range from 10s to 15s weeky. Hon. H. T. Armstrong stated to-day that the subsidy would be limited to a period of eight weeks and would be payable only in re^ect of the sSSond to ninth weeks (inclusive) of continuous employment at. the following rates; J Weekly cash subsidy to wage 18 and; under 19 years, £1 7s 6d, farmer 10sj, under 20 years £1 12s 6d, farmer 12s 6d; 20 and under 21 years, £1 17s. 6d, farmer 15s,
