TIKOKINO SPORTS
One of the finest programmes ever presented by the Tikokino Sports Club has beeu arranged for next Saturday for the annual gathering at the Mathews Memorial Park. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. Miss Rona Tong, the New Zealand champion, is to give an exhibition over the hurdles, an event in which she recently broke the New Zealand record. The club has made various improvements to its ground appointments and in its organisation to cope with the record crowd that will undoubtedly be present. The public is sure to appreciate these. Record entries have been received for the chopping events, and the public" will experience a never-to-be-forgotten thrill In the spectacular maire jigger chop.
