TENNIS AND BRIDGE PARTY FOR MRS HETLEY
The oeau'tiful garden of Mrs T. Gilray'a bome in Thompson road, N apier,. was a blaze'of colour on Saturday afternoon when, to honour Mrs A. Hetley, who leaves soon on a visit to Bngland, Mrs Gilray entertained friends at tennis and bridge. Bridge was played in the library, which had as decoration bowls of roses arranged in squat bowls. Many enjoyed tennis; the pretty view of the roadstead and the lovely garden setting combined with the warm afternoon was delightful and the guests spent a very enjoyable time. Mrs Gilray received in a smart navy and white frock and Mrs Hetley wore a white tennis frock. There were present: Mesdames F. N. Fussell, H. E. Troutbeck, W. J. Henderson, John Ma&on, Hector Smith, G. F. Gardiner, M. Hindmarsh, E. Rickard, H. Douglas, W. G. Wood, Y. W. Cox, the Misses A. Hickes, H. Bernau, Enid Twigg, Olga and Judy Staith.
