Miller, S.M., in the Napier Magistrate 's Court yesterdLay when he fined Robert William Olsen, of Napier, aiotor-driver, £1 with 10/- costs for jriving without due care and attention. The Magistrate pointed out, however, that if the traffic iuspector had not stopped defendant before he reached an intersection some aecident may have occurred. Harold James Pr ealing, of Napier, labourer, was fined 10/-, with 10/- costs, for driving a car while not being the holder of a licence. For parking a motor vehicle without lights in Battery road, Arthur Cyril Gannaway, of Napier, dealer, was fined 10/- without costs. Ross David Martin, of Auckland, traveller, was fined £1, with 10/- costs, for exceeding the speed limit in Shakespeare road. On a charge of failing to give way to trafiic on his right, Walter Sinclair Brunsden, of Napier, was fined £1, with 16/- costs. Driving a car without a licence cost William Herbert Anderson, of Napier, £1 10/-, with 10/- costs. He was allowed one month in which to pay.
