OKAWA TROPHY RESULTS
Members of the Okawa Rifle Club completed the second round of the President's Trophy and also the first round for the Kessei Cup at Roy's Hill over the week-end. Shooting conditions were particularly tricky during the morning, when the president's match was contested; a front "fish-taiP» wind and very strong mirage proved most troublesome to the marksmen. Two members, O. Eberhard and F. Humphries, succeeded in attaining the standard of 100, while W. J. Burton returned the highest net score of 99. At the individual ranges the following were the best results: 300 yards, C. Eberhard (35); 500: W. J. Burton, B. Patmore (34) ; 600 yards, F. Burton (34). The president's trophy was won by R. Symons, who put up the fine total of 201. During the afternoon the remaining two practices of the first round for the Kessel Cup were completed in ideal shooting conditions. The scores ware of a remarkably high standard, with no fewer than 22 results of 45 and better. L. F. Henry and L. E. Brathwaite, each with a total of 96, were the most successful. At 800 yards H". Brehaut secured the possible, while L. Henry and J. Sim each scored 48 at 900 yards. Following are the scores in detail: —
