Hastings Appeal Realises £84 The funds of the Hawke's Bay Children 's Homes will benefit to the extent of £84 6/- as a result of the street appeal and Paddy 's market held in Hastings on Saturday. The Hastings committee of the homes expresses its thanks to all who assisted in making the appeal such a success. The results of the competitions £xe as follows: — Iced cake (donated by Mrs. Tupe), Mra. Hale; radio (donated by Messrs. Loach and Price), W. Taylor; dinner (donated by J/vs. Abbott), Mrs. Lovell-Smith. The dinner was suhsequently distributed by the Rev. J. Liggett to families in need in Hastings). The trustees of tlie Huwke's Bay Children 's Homes acknowledges with thanks a donation of £20 from Mr. M. S. Spene#,
