Mrs Bandall Reid, Maharahara, is visiting relatives in the South Island. Mr and Mrs B. A. Buriiett, Makotuku, are away on holiday. Mrs T. J. Bai, Matamau, has returned to her home .after undergoing a serious operation at Napier. Miss Alison Mulinder, Otawhao, who has been spending a boliday in Wellington, has returned home. Mr H. M. Christie, M.P., leaves today for the Pahiatua electorate where he will address several meetings. Dr. W. B. Pislier and Mrs Fisher have returned to Waipukurau from Taupo. Mr Norman Balcke, formerly of the Wairoa post-office staff and now of Huntley, js in the Waikato hospital for treatinent.

Mr and Mrs H. Nairn, of I\ew Plymoutli, who have been on a visit to the latter's parents, Mr and Mrs W. Coker, Wairoa, have returned linme. Miss Eoma Quayle, of Greymouth, and formerly of Wairoa, is staying with Mr and IMrs G. O, Fletcher, Lahore street, Wairoa Miss K. Fraser, who has been spending a holiday with her sister, Mrs A. W. Parrow, Weber, has returned to Whangarei Mrs Xennetk Campbell, Tipapakuku, is a vi-sitor to Weber, being the guest of Mr and Mrs H. L. Campbell, "Rock Hill." Mr Keith I'Anson has returned to Maharahara from a business visit to Tauranga. He was aceompanied by Mr Bupert Fairbrother, Kiritaki, Mr A. G. Churcher, administrator 's deputy for Toc. H»in New Zealand, who has been staying with Colonel A. S. Wilder, Waipukurau, has le.ft for Napier, Mr R. J. Harrison, Tikitiki, has takou up his duties at the Waipukurau Post, Offlee. He replaces Mr J. Freneh, who has been transferred to Featherston. Mrs W. G. Morton and Miss Morton, who are leaving Takapau, were entertained at the Manse by the members of the Presby terian Churek Ladies ' Guild, and presented with parting tokens of esteem by the president, Mrs W. Kilford. Mrs Morton received a leather shopping bag and Miss Morton a leather suit-case. Mrs W. G. Morton and Mi-ss Morton, who are leaving Takapau shortly, were entertained at the Manse by members of the Presbyterian Chureh Ladies' Guild and presented with parting tokens of esteem by the president, Mrs Wi Kilford — Mrs Morton, a leather shopping bag, and Miss Morton a. leather suit-case,
