Mr Eric Wiig is at present at Wairoa on relieving duties. Mr J. R. Hart, who has gone to Christchurch to attend the New Zealand and A.OA. annual conference, is returning to Napier to-night. The Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt, who lias been staying in Hastings as the guest of Mr and Mrs Hoar, has returned to Wellington. Mr Peter Coleman, second son of Mrs H. N. Coleman, of Havelock North, left Hastings for Wellington, where he was to join the boat en route ior Sydney and Queensland. Mr F. C. Triggp, of Auckland, is spending a few days' lioliday with his parents, Mr and Mrs F. W. Triggs, Lincoln road, Napier. Mr Herbert E- Widgery has been appointed provincial organiser in Hawke's Bay for F.A.M.E. Mutual Insurance and Guaranteed Incomes, Ltd. Mr Widgery has taken up residence in Hastings and has opened an office in Karamu Qhambers, Queen street. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, who has been on a tour of the East Coast districts, left Hastings this morning by the mail train on his return to Wellington. He arrived in Hastings from the north at an early hour this morning. © Mr Gordon Bailey, late of the staff of Williams and Kettle, Ltd., Napier, left this morning for the Waikato, where he will be engaged in insurance work. He was met yesterday by a number of his yachting friends and presented with a leather suitcase as a token of appreciation of all he has done for sailing hefore and since the the earthquake. The Hon. P. C. Webb will be acting Minister of Labour during the absence from the Dominion of the Hon. H. T. Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong, accompanied by Mrs. Armstrong and Mr. W. J. Shanley, private secretary, will leave Wellington on April 6, and if no delays occur will arri.ve in London on the night before the coronatiou.
