Best Offering For Many Years KEEN COMPETITION

INVERCARGILL, This Day. The second Invercargill wool sale opened this morning before a full bench of buyers. The offering was approximately 19,000 bales, consisting mainly of crossbred wool, which, it is considered, is the best offered at a local sale for mony years, being wellgrown, brighi and strong. The anticipation that competition would be well-spread was realised, Bradford, Japan and the Contineni showing keenness to seeure favoured clips. Values showed an all-round improvement of a penny half penny on the February sale. A full clearance was made. Southland is fortunate to have secured the peak of the market at both saies this season. The range ot prices is as follows:—
