FIVE MILLION CLUB
rower JSoard Kepresentation / ' The managj.ixg-secretary of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power- Board, Mr. H. H. Wylie, has been appoinfed to represent the board on the executiva of the recently-formed New Zealand Five Million Club. 4 "One of the ohjeets of this orgaaisation," Mr. Wylie told members at yesterday 's meeting of the board, " is to collect propaganda for the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, to place before the British Government when he goes Home. The Hon. Mr. Barnard is keenly intereste.d in the question of immigration, but the movement, as embraced by the Five Million Club, is non-political. I understand that the Imperial Government is prepared to subsi, dise an immigratioi scheme if one is conducted along sound lines." When the chairman, Mr. T. E. Crosse, nominated Mr. Wylie as the board Js representative on the club's executivo, Mr. Wylie told members that he wa? already a member of the local committee and wonld expeot every member of the board to join the club at 2/6 a year feubscription.
