WALLINGFORD GROUP

The annual meeting of the Wallingford Women '3 Institute was held at Wallingford on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. J . D. Ormond presiding over a fair attendance of members, several visitors being also present. Mesdames J. Canning and Walker were appointed delegates to attend the Southern Hawek's Bay annual Federation Council meeting which is to ba held at Waipukurau. The secretary, Mrs. J. L. Jamieson (re-eldcted) ; eommittee, Mesdames P. Canning, Bevan, T. Geenty, F. Jackson, E. McNutt, R. Stoddart, R. P. Wilder and L. Wilson. The xesults of the competitions for the day were :—Best. collection of vegetables, Mrs. S. Ward i, Mrs. G. L. Jamieson 2; embroidered apron, Mrs. 8.' Ward 1, Mrs. T. Hobson 2,. Mrs. Wooster 3. - The points prize for the year Was won by Mrs. Jackson, who also gained Mrs. Ormond's special prize for the member entering into most competitions. Mrs. E. McNutt was successful in winning Mrs. J. Canning 's prizp for the best labour-Savihg device in the home.
