REFEREES MEET

Hastings Association The annual meeting of the Hastings Rugby Referees' Association waa held in Mr J. A. Fraser's office last night, the president, Mr A. Kirkpatrick, presiding over a good attendance. Mr- Kirkpatrick, in formally moving the adoption of the report and balance* sheet, stated that the season had been a most successful one. The weekly meetings had been well attended, thanks mainly to the very interesting and instructive leeturettes and diagrams prepared by the chairman, Mr J. Scott. Mr Kirkpatrick also expressed thanks on behalf of the association to Mr J. A. Fraser for the use o£ his office for meetings, to the Press and to all who assisted in any way throughout the season. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr G. A. Maddison (Te-elected) ; president, Mr A. Kirkpatrick (re-eleeted) ; vice-presidents, Messrs H. M. Campbell, J. Lyons, T. McLean, J. W. Talbot and R. A. Hunt (all re-elected); cbairman, Mr J. Scott; examiners: theory, Mr J. Scott; practical, Messrs A. Kirkpatrick and J. Scott; appointment committee: Messrs G. Gray, T. Kilner and J. Geenty; delegate to annual meeting of Hastings sub-union, Mr D. Graham; delegate to New Zealand Rugby Referees' AasociaLon Conference, Mr J. Geenty; honcrary seeretary and treasurer, Mr J. Geenty.
