Local Body Conferences A tribute to the efficient manner in which xemits were dealt with at the annual conferences of the New Zealand Hospital Boards' Association, the New Zealand Municipal Association, and the New Zealand Municipal Electrical Supplies' Association was paid yesterday by the Mayor of Napier, Mr. C. O. Morse, who has just returned from Timaru, where the three conferences were held. "All three were full of interest," he said, "and very* definitely marked progress was noticeable in the manner in which tho three associations are carrying out their duties. There are many 'matters now becoming gffeetive | that have been pursued over a large number of years. This goes to show that more attention is being given by the powcrs that be to remits that have been passed." In regard to the Municipal Conference and the Municipal Electrical Supplies' conferenco, he added, the business was conductcd smoothly and efficiently, and this could be attributed to the splendid manner in which the micers of the Department of Internal Affairs had dealt with and answered previous remits.
