M.P.'s Remedy for Small Man's Troubles KING-COUNTRY TOUR
(By Telegraph
WELLINGTON, Last Night. As a result of ohservations during a tour of the King Country, Mr T- H. McCombs, M.P., intends to recommend to the Government the institution of a co-operative system of small farms instead of individual farming on limited areas. He eaid, in an interview to-night, that he found in every district men working hard on very small farms who were findingi diffieulty in earning a living and were in favour of som© co-op-erative scheme which would enable gtroups instead of individuals to meet the economio difficuities. The individual,- he said, was unable to meet the losses incurred by adverse Eeasonal conditions and market variationa. He considered it would be better to give men holdings of 300 acres on th© 00operative" system so that the group could share th© profits and. losses.
