GRAVE CHARGES
•Charged with serious offences upon two girls under the age of 16 years, flolga Pedersen, aged 26, and Kenneth Burgess, aged 19, both of Meeanee, appeared before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., in the Napier Magistrate's Gourt yesterday and were remanded, npon the application of Detective-S&rgeant H. Nuttall, for one week. Mr. T. H. R. Gifford, who appeared for the accused, applied for bail, which was granted in £150 each, witht one surety in each of
£150. An application for the suppression of the names of the accused was refused by tho magistrate. In asking for tho xemand, DetoetivcSergeant Nuttall stated that the accused had been arrested at 9.30 a.m. that day by Constable J. Gartly, of Taradale
