TWO ME3T-CLASS ITLMS. — V. Carole Lombard and May Eobso* have the principal featured roles in "Lady By Choice," at the Municipal Theatre. It tells the story of a fa» dancer, who, as a publicity stunt, adopts a "motber." The cnother re« fuses to leave her and battles witK tooth and nail to remain in her new, station* Once established, she takes an active interest in her "daughter's" affaixs, both business and love, and brings both to happy and profltabW conclusions. The story seemed to be made for the cast, always an indica* tion of capajble performances by everyj player and of understanding and inteN ligent work by the director. The performances of May Robson in her role of Patsy Patterson, an aged derelict of the streets, is the flnest this accomplished player has render* ed to date, while Miss Loaibard's pora trayal of the sophisticated, slightlyj hard-boiled Alabam, is one of her best* "I'll Fix Ifc," starring the populat Jack Holt with Mona Barrie in supa port, is also at the Municipal.
