PUKETAPU SPORTS

Splendid Programme - Saturday, March 20, will see all the sporting folk, and holiday-seekers of Hawke's Bay on their way to the annual Puketapu sports meeting, which wlil be held in a paddock kindly lent by Mr E. D. Holt. The programme is one of such varied attractions as will provide plenty of first-class sport and entertainment for people of all tastes. Horse events, sheep dog trials, woodchopping and sawing, motor car events, running and jumping, cycling, Highland dancing, nail-driving (for ladies), sheep-guessing, chain-steppiog, children 's races and other items supply a hill of fare which could not well be improved upon. It is alway.s a pleasure to attend a Puketapu sports meeting, for nowhere can oue gain a better day's sport. In the evening, the grand march of dancers will set in from all quarters for the grand sports ball with which the Puketapu Sports Club concludes its happy day. Even the memory of a Puketapu sports ball will set a dancer's feet tapping, and the Puketapu Hall is sure to be crowded with joyous dancers on Saturday night,
