i The English Amateur Boxing Association, departing in some xneasure from their custom, have invited the Irish Association to send a team to compete against representatives of England, Scotiand, and Wales, at the Coronation Tournament at the Albert Hall on April 29. It will be the first appearance of an Irish team in England, although several individuals have crossed St, George's Channel in search of A.B.A. titles. Miss Jean Shaw, of Annandale I. cricket team, set a new record score for Sydney women's grade cricket with 176 against Sydney University. She hit 25 fours, and was malnly responsible for her team's total of 350. Women's cricket is on the upgracte both in popularity with the public and in technical quality. Some day, ir its forward march continues as at present it may become a rival to men's cricket in public favour, says the Referee. The play in the last women's Test Matches between England and Australia delighted all who witnossed it.
