Gloucester Captain. B. O. Allen, former Cambridge University Blue, has been nominated as captain of Gloucestershire t.o fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. D. A. C. Page. Allen, whc is 25 years old, and a left-handed batsman, was a member of the Crifton eleven, and played for his University in the big match of 1933. On coming d'own he joined Gloucestershire, and, playing i throughout the 1934 summer, scored 1302 runs, average 25.52 In all i matches.
