Renewal of H.B. Agreement "I personally thiuk that the agreement will be renewed, because the De partment of Health favours it," said tiie ehai-rman of the Park Island Joinl Committee, Mr, A. E. Bedford, this morning, when referring to tlie agreement between the Joint Committee and the Hawke's Bay, Waipawa and Dannevirke Hospital Boards, which expires on March 31. A special committee appointed some months ago will meet in the near future to consider whetner the agrOfement should be renewed, and in the meantime the Old People 's Home system wil earry on as usual. Mr. Bedford said that the three contributing bodie-s were in favo'ur of carrying on vvitfi the existing arrange ment, under which old people are boarded out and are tlie responsibility of the oint hospital boards. The Hawke's Bay Hospital Board paid hall tho maintenance, and the balance was split up between tho Waipawa and Dannevirke Boards. The special comniitteo appointed to consider a renewal of tbe agreement will probablv have a report ready for tjio next quartorJy -meeting of tlie Park Island Joint Comnutlec in April.
