FATAL ACCIDENT
Motor Cyclist Killed NUHAKA C0LLISI0N An accident occurred on the NuhakaOpoutama road yesterday morning resulting in the death of Wilfred Black, second son of Mr. and Mrs. James Black, Nuhaka. The deceased, who was employed by Mr. C. Bartlett, storekeeper, Nuhaka, came into collision with a metal lorry driven by Mr. Morris Torr, a short distance from the township, and received injuries from which he euccumbed shortly afterwards. Mr. Black was riding his motoreyele to work shortly before 8 o'cloek, and it is believed that as a result of the rain he had a limited visibility. He met the lorry a mile and a-half from Nuhaka township at a point where the road takes a dipping turn. Deceased 's parents were called to the scene and arranged for his conveyance to the Wairoa Hospital, but the young man died before reaching Wairoa. The late Mr. Black was 19 years of age, and was widely known and popular in the district. Deep sympathy will be extended to his parents and to his sister and two brothers in their bereavement.
