HASTINGS PLUNKET SOCIETY

The monthly meeting oi the Hastings branch of the Plunnet Society was heid on Tuesday; present: Miss Williams (chair), Mesdames F. H. Hull, E. 0. Bates, J. Leggat, 0. Stubbs, W. F. Wellwood, A. D. £3. Whyte, E. M. Nelson, G. Maddison, li. fchmderland, H. Glazebrook, Miss Wellwood and the hon. secretary Mrs A. 11. Greenwood. Tho nurses' report for February read as follows: New cases, town lo, country 4; visitors to oiiice 981; visits to homes, town 109, country 165; adviee over telephone 92. Letters received 3; letters wvitten 2; country districts visited: Mangateretere, Havelock North, Pakowhai and Twyford 4 times, Pakipaki 3 tiines, Longlands, Haumoana, Te Awanga, Whakatu, and Clive twice, Pukahu, {Sherenden, Otamauri and Crownthorpe once. Mrs Hendry's resignation from the committee was received with regret. Extended leavo of absence was granted to Mrs A. Bell and Miss Wellwood. Arrangements were made for the fchow. Mrs Hull undertook the relief work during Miss Wellwood's absence in England. It was decided to kold a jumbie salo at tho end of April or early in May. , Mrs Sundcrlaud aud Mrs Glazebrook wero appointed visiting Commiltco for the month. The following subscriptious and donations were received wilh thanks: Mesdames, Rodorick, M. Field, W. T. Sturrock, Richil, Clark, and Ian McGiegor.
