Mussolini and His Fleet to Test Theory DEPARTURE FOR LIBYA

(Received 11, 12.55 p.m.) EOME, March 10. Flying frooi Eome to Gaeta, Signor Mussolini embarked by armed motor boat on the cruiser Pola for Tobruk, Eibya (near the Egyptian frontier). The town was decorated and citizens eheered the Pola as it departed, eseorted by the eruisers Fiume, Gara, and Gorizia. Several Ministers accompanied H Duce who, after arrival at Tobruk, will give the signal to starfc the manoeuvres, in which 60 vessels will participate in order to ascertain whether Italian warships between Sicily and Libya can control through-going shipping. Signor Mussolini will spend a forttight in Tripoli. He will open the Colonial Fair and inaugurate the 1100miles highway from Egypt to Tuniaia, which was completed last year in order to enable Italy to mass_ troops on the Egyptian border in the event of trouble with Britain. H Duce, after excursions to the interior, will hold a Teview concluding with manoeuvreB.
