MOTOR-WORKS STRIKES
Chrysler, Hudson & Packard Afiected (Received 10, 8.45 a.m.) DETROIT, March 8. The organisational director of the United Automobile Workers of America announces that a strike has been called at all the major units of Chrysler at Detroit follo^ing the refusal of the corporation to reeognise the union as the sole bargaining agency. Other strikes are reported in the Chevrolet plant at Flint over the discharge of several workers and sit-dowu strikes at the Hudson and Packard factories.
