Hastings ; Association Meets A meeting. of . the Hastings committee of the Hawke 's ' Bay War Relief Association. was held on Monday. Present: Messrs F., J. Hull (in the chair), L. J. Mackersey,. A. J. Manson and F. •Perrin. Leave of absence was granted to Mr"W. Hart. - - Forty-f our returned soldiers ' cases •were considered and assistance was granted in vaxious. w.ays, including grants amounting to £51 13/-. • A statement of payments and receipts for the month of February showing grants to. soldiers £57 18/8, grants • to dependants * of soldiers £24 15/6, grants on account of other - societies £8 6/-, loans to soldiers £22 19/6, atid topayments received £69 11/3, was placed before' the meeting and approved. •
