Mr. Hamilton remarked that he had not undertaken comprehensive speechjmaking tours earlier because he felt ithat the new Government should not be isubjected to criticism from the platjform until it had had time to settle |down and put its policy into effect. The Government had now been a year in ofS.ce and the time was ripe for a diseussion of its Tecord. Supporters of the National Party at Warkworth entertained Mr. Hamilton to luncheon and he addressed a public meeting at Whangarei *'n the evening. He will hold further meetings at Kerikeri/ Ohaewai and Wellsford. Three days of the tour will be devoted to* Auckland city. Mr, Hamilton is to leave for the Waikato and Bay of iPlenty districts ou Monday and he will ■return to Wellington iu time 10 address la large meeting of business men or March 24.
