Fireman F. R. Carne, of Waipawa, is at present on a visit to Nelson, where he will attend the annual meeting and demonstration of the Fire Brigades ' Association. Mr F. Frost has resigned from the Waipukurau District High Sehool committee as he is leaving Waipukuiau to live in Hastings. Mr W. Edgecombe was granted six months leave of absence with permission to extend it, if necessary, at the meeting of the Waipukurau County Council on Saturday. Mr Edgecombe is to visit England for the Corouation Mrs. Bain, of Wellington, is spending a lioliday in Ormondville, where she is* the geust of Mr. and Mrs. F. Carney. Mr. and Mrs. Thorne, late of Hastings, have taken up their residence in Ormondville. The Rev. H. and Mrs. Klingender, who have been spending some weeks at New Plymouth, paid a short visit to Ormondville before returning by car to their home in Napier, Mr. Cyril Aleoclc, of Blenheim, is on a visit to Te Uri," where he is the guest of Mr. aud Mrs. A. Jolmstone, "Ben Lomond ' ' Mr. J. A. R. Kirkwood, of Napier, wlio has been on relieving duty at the Norsewood Post Office in the absence of Mr. J. P. Madson, postmaster, on annual leave, left on Friday for Palmerston North. Mr. Kirkwood will sail for Sydney by the s.s. Awatea, which leaves Wellington on Tuesday, and after spending a short time in Austra.lia, will proceed to England for the Coronation ceremonies and an extended holiday tour. Mr. Madson has resumed his duties. Miss F. Hosking and Mr Hone Hosking, of Auckland, have arrived in Ormondville on an extended visiv +o the latter's mother. Mrs. T. G.
