CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
MAN was the subject of the LessonSermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, Mai'ch 7. The Golden Text was Isaiah 43:10, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen." Atoong the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible, "Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me, ' I have made the earth and created man upOn it. . . 1 have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direet all his wayS.The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children Of God." (Isa. 45:11-13, Rom. 8:16). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science attd Health with Key to -the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, "Man in Science is neither young nor old. He has neither birth nor death. Ho is not a beast, a vegetable, nor a migratory mind. Man is by no means a material germ rising from the imperfOct and endeavortring to reach Spirit above his origin. The stream rises no higher than its source. Man, governed by immortal Mind, is always beautiful and grand. Each succeeding year uttfolds wisdom, beauty, an-d holiness." (pp. 244, 246).
