TAKAPAU, Last JVight. The annual meeting of the Takapau Sheep Dog Trial Club was held in the library on Tuesday night when there was a sparse attendance preeided over by Mr N. Tilley. The report showed that the club had been successful with entries and was supported by a band of willing helpers, but the baiance sheet showed a sljght loss on the year's workings. This could b© aocounted for by the increase in prize money. A deeision was arrived at to increase the number of officers, when the following were elected for th© ensuing year: Patron, Mr F. de Stacpole ; president, Mr W. J. Smith j vice presidents., Messrs C. H. St.Hill, J. C. Rolleston, C. Smith, W. Cuthbertson, A. S. A1 dricli, W. Hobson, H. Hobson, P. Wall, N. Tilley, M. Paulsen, W. J. Craig, G. Kelly, L. C. Rolls, C. J. Campion, Edwards ; honorary secretary, Mr V. Heyward ; treasurer, Mr N. Tilley; auditor, Mr A. S. Aldrich; judge, Mr A. Stead; supported by a large management committee. v Mr F. de Stacpoole kindly offered to interview the principal business firms in Hawke's Bay to solicit their support. Several recommendations were dealt with and the most of them were supported. It was decided to charge 1/ at the gate for non members and competitors on the day of the hogget fair. The following sub committee was appointed to prepare a programme and select officers to run the trial and submit to the next meeting of the management committee : Messrs W. J. Smith, £>. McLean, N. Tilley and V. Heyward. ■
