Socialist Success in London ALL SEATS CONTESTED (British Official Wiralena.) ^Eeeeived 6, 8.45 a.m.) EUGBY, March 4. Elections are taking place to-day toi the London County Council which consists of 125 councillors elected by ratepayers and 20 aldermen elected by councillors. AU councillors retire automaticaily every three years, At the last election Labour gained a majority of seats and at that election there were 69 Labour members and 55 municipal Eeform members of the council. With the exception of four seats for the City of London for which municipal Eeform candidates had been returned unopposed, . all seats are contested. Labour is represented by 120 candidates, municipal Eeform by 116, Liberals by 18, Fascists by 6, and Independents by 3. The final state of the parfcies is: Socialists 76, Opposition 49.
