Coronation Military Party at Trentham MR S, GEMMELL'S XIEWS Nothing is being left undone to ensnre that the party to represent New Zealand at the Coronation ceremonies in London will be physicaUy fit, according to Mr. Sam Gemmell, Hawke % Bay'* representative. in the military party. "The training for this show is tho stiffest I've ever'gone through," he informed a Herald-Tribune representative this morning before returning to Wellington after making his finaDcall on friends in Napier. "It is reai hard work, I can tell you, bnt it's great all the same. There are about 16 "Diggera" and we are enoying the whole thing and looking forward: to the trip. The young fellows, too, are getting very excited about the trip, and altogether we are quite & happy family." Mr. Gemmell said that when he first visited the camp he was greatly Suv prised to find an issue of sheets. Table cloths and cups and saucers were other items that appeared strange issues to old "Diggera." He expressed his" admiration for the hut occupied by the men who are undergoing a five-year course of training at Trentham. "It was wonderfully equipped and everything was spick and span and very modern," he said. "The training was somewhat different to tho old days, and to my way of thinking it is an improvement." The party expects to be leaving New Zealand next Saturday for "the Old Country. .
