IVORY-TINTED SATIN CLOQUE WORN AT WAIPUKURAU WEDDINIG

Ivory-tinted satin eloque cut on clasBieal fines was worn by Gwen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Plorance, Eskdale, Napier, at her wedding to Reginald, son of Mrs R. H. Jones and the late Mr R. H. Jones, Woodville. The Rev. Canon E. D. Rice offieiated at the ceremony in St. Mary's Church, Waipukurau, on Thursday afternoon. Mrs Ivan Samuels presided at the organ and played the wedding music, the hymn, "The Yoice that Breathed O'er Eden," being sung as the bride entered the church, which had been beautifully decorated with choice summer blooms by the nuTsing staff of the Waipukurau Public Hospital, of which the bride had been a popular member. The bride, who entered the church with her father, made a charming pieture in her classical cut gown, the flared skirt falling into a long train. The softly draped bodice was finished at the ne'ckline with a spray of orange blossoms. Her long tulle veil was arranged with a circlet of orange blossoms and she wore cream satin shoes and carried a lovely bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern. Three maids attended the bride, Miss B. Strathern (chief), Hastings, Miss Jessie Lloyd and Miss R. Plorance (sister of the bride;. They were dressed alike in gowns of apricot satin beaute. Tne bodiees were fashioned with short pulfed sleeves and trimmed with tiny | buttons at the back, and the "paneilcd skirt was slightly trained, the wai,itiine being deiined with softly folded belts of tne material and they carried bouquets of apricot xoses and ferns. Mr C. Turnbull, Wellington, carried out the duties of best man and the groomsmen were Messrs R. Plorance and E. Beale. The ushers were Messrs B. Plorance and S. Barnes. After the ceremony a very jolly feception was held in St. Andrew's Schodlroom, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The handsome three-tiered wedding cake was cut and the usual toasts honoured. Mr and Mrs Plorance receivtjd their many gueste. Mrs Plorance wore a model frock in brown floral sxlk marocain with a matching hat and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted roses. Mrs Jones, m other of the bridegroom wore an ensemble in coronation blto silk with hat to tonq and carried a bouquet of roses. Later, when Mr and Mrs Jones left by car on 4;heir honeymoon, which will be spent in the -north, the bride travelled in a 'smart blue suit with hat and accessories to tone.
