FIRE BRIGADESMEN

H.B. Delegations for Nelson Hastings Is to be represented by a party of 12 at the biennial demonstration under the auispices of the New Zealand United Fire Brigrades' Association, which is to be held in conjunction with the conference of delegates at Nelson next week. Tbo Hawke 's Bay delegations ieft by ihe mail train this morning, the Hastings party beiug joined by represcntniives of Sp.t a?id Havelock North luigado? at Hastings and later by the Oeniral Jlawke 's Bay representations at Waipukurau. The Hastings delegation is headed by Supcrijulencient B. Henderson, who is being accompanied by Mrs Henderson and daughter, Mrs N: Muir. The Bastingis team to take part in the1 demonstration competitions consists of Fr/jmen S. Ellis, N. Muir, W. Walker and W. Parsons.

Travelling with them are Superintendent A. Toop, of Havelock North, who is a delegate and a judge; Past-Prosi-dent W. Keith, of Hastings, who is representing the Napier Brigade at the conference; Foreman W. F. Keith, of the Tomoana Brigade, who is aivompanicd by Mrs and Miss Keith; Foreman ji. Ferguscn, of Hastings, who is to be an official at the demonstration; Mr R. Catherall, of Hastings; Foreman Kulford, of the Spit Brigade; and Foreman L. Draper, of Hastings, who is to bc preseuted with his Gold Star recordin£ his 25 years' serviee. !
