In torrential rain, which made it difficult for the twenty-four persons present to keep thedr feet on the mountain slope, th© remains of the two pilots and two passengers killed in the Stinson airliner crash were buried near th© wreck. The servic© embraced the fifth victim Mr Westray, whose body still lay in th© gorge below. A sister Stinson. 'plane circled overhead and dropped wreaths through. clouds and rain. 4 A police party went to the spot where Mr Westray was killed and, upon their return, ©xpressed th© opinion that it would be too dangerous to attempt to carry the body down and that it would probably have to be buried where it was.
