WAIPUKURAU, March 3. That there is a great need for mor: nained physical experts in sehools i: Ihe opinion of Mr. V. Parsons, the ncr, Iieadmastcr at the Waipukurau District High 8chool, who discusscd educational lacilities with a reporter this morning. Discussing physical education, Mr. Parsons expressed the view that, in the past, the value of instruction along these lines had not been fully apprecaated. "There is a definite need for morc physical training, " he said. "I understand that at the present timB there is a Parliamentary Commission inquiring into this matter with a view to bringing down some definite proposals to put before the House next session, and t>at Eome legislation will be passed." There was a possibility that itinerant experts in physical education would be sent out as in the past, but, now that teachers were reeeiving more instruction in physical education, it would not be long before they could handle this side of school life themselves.
