LARGE AUDIENCE AT OPENING OF SEASON OF NAPIER REPERTORY
A large and appreciative audience greeted tli© Napier Repertory Players on Tuesday in the I'oresters ' Hall, when they opened their 1937 season with three one-act plays which were excellently produced. All were interesting, suitably costumed and with appropriate settings arranged by Mesdames R. B. G. Chadwick, M. Hindmarsh and W. Mitchell. The costume of Miss May Macdonald in the final play was a triumph. At the conclusion of the evening, the committee entertained all present to a buffet s upper served in the up- | stairs hall and supervised by Mrs Herrick Tonkin and Miss J. Cunningliam and Cuming. A dance was afterwards enjoyed. Mr W .Mitchell' s orchestra supplying the music. Free programmes were provided by courtesy of Fairelough's Ltd., who also provided incidental music.
