Negfigent Driving Charge

' GREYMOUTH, Last Night. The erlminal session of tho Supreiuo Court opened in Greymouth to-day before Mr Justice Northcroft. There was only one criminal case for trial and. the Judgo congr'atulated the district oh its continued freedom from serious crime. John Cyril O'Donnell, a trucker, aged 27, was ckarged with negligent driving thereby causing the death of Wiliiam Ramsay Burt, in High street, Greymouth, on August 29th last and (2) with f ailing to stop and ascertain .whether he had injured the person and render all snch practical assistance possible. The second charge was ]aid under the new Motor Regulations of 1936. The jury after a retirement of two and a half hours returaed a verdi6& of not guilty.
