Court to Fix Amounts An application by three ^-sons of George Richard Beamish, late of Hawke's Bay, sheepfarmer, deceased, for the fixing of their debts to the estate, which they now administer, will occupy the attention . of Mr Justice Ostler in the.. Napier Supreme Court for most o'f to-day. The three appellants, Harold Francis Beamish, George Eric Hamilton Beamish and Frederick Noel Hamilton Beamish, are at varianco with the Commissioner of Stamp Duties in regard to the assessment of their debts, and ask the Court to fix the amounts. An afSdavit" filed .hy.the appellants states that their father died on September 28, (193 5, and they were made the administrators of the esfyte. At the time of death, the debts to tbe estate by the three were computed at £6,120 1/6, £25,156 1/9 and £19,181 2/9 retspectively, but for the purpOdQ of assessment of death duties, the debts were claimed to be nil, £15,416 and £13,350 respectively. Tbe Oourt ia ' asked to decide the correct amount. > For the appellants Mr A. L. Martin appears, and for the Commissioner of ' Stamp Duties, Mr L. W. Willis.
