SHEEP-EXPORT EMBARGO
Australian Farmers Fear Competition N.Z. EXCEPTED (Reeeived 3, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 2. The Graziers' Conference to-day by 65 votes to 17, decided to support the continuance of the embargo on the export of Merino sheep. Bpeakers issued a warning that the growers of South Africa, owin© 'to their purchases of Merino rams, were likely to become dangerous competitors to AustraliaThe conference rejected a motion that the export of stud Merino sheep to New Zealand be prohibited, largely on the ground that it might further embarrass trade relations with the Dominion.
