CENTRAL H.B. W.D.F.U. MEETS AT WAIPUKURAU
The usuai monthly meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay branch of the Women' s Division of the Farmers' Union was held in the Rest Rooms, Waipukurau, on Tuesday. Mrs G. L. Jamieson presided, the following members being present: Mesdames J. C. Nieliolls, 0. Giblin, M. Tansey, E. Cole, T. Black, T. Geenty, J. A. Grant, F. Wilson, Miss Beachen, and the assisfcant secretary, Miss E. Grant. Apologies were received from Mesdames T. Groome, J. Ro?e, C. Pattison, A. D. Wallace, Mitchell and Miss N. Maiu. Mrs Paul Hunter's resignation was received with regret and it was proposed that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mrs Hunter, thanking her for her loyal support. * A parcel ox books was received from Mrs Chainbers, "The Park," Waipawa.1 These are to be sent to the Te Kuiti Book Club. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs J .C. Nicholls and Miss Beachen. It was announced that the next meeting will be held the first week in May.
