INFORMAL FAREWELL PARTY HELD AT OTANE

A very enjoyable informal party was held at the residence of Mrs Collius, Otane, on Monday afternoon, .when mexnbers of the Basketball Club and a tew friends met to farewell Miss Mabel Jane, who is leaving Otane at an early date. The time passed very quickly and pleasantly with competitione and social chat and a delicious afternoon tea was served by the club members, aftor which Airs ltoach wished Miss Jane every happiness in the future and presented her with a manicure set as a token of aHeetion from the club-niat.es and expressed the regrets all felt at her departure. Musical honours were aecorded Miss Jane, who appropriately returned thanks. Th8 winners of the competitions were: Miss Jane, Mrs Ashby, Mrs Roach and Miss Collins. Miss "Wedd on behalf of the club thanked Mrs Collins for her hospitality.
