French Mail Van Held up by Armed Men

(Received 2, 8.45 a.m.) PARIS, Mareh 1. Armed bandits stopped a mail van at Aix-en-Provence shortly after leaving the Post Office, one taking the place of the driver. The van was abandoned six miles from town and the mailbags taken. The estimated loss is £10,000 ineluding documents addressed to the Palais de Justice, Paris, relating tp the murder of Madame Garola, who was found strangled last year on the StrasbourgRiviera express. The hold-up follows a robbery involving £13,500 outside a bank at Nice recently and the theft of valuable mail? at Antibes on J anuary 7-
